It might be easier than you think – all it takes is a little effort and attention to detail. Here are 5 ways to keep her happy.

Always be willing to learn new things.

Whether it be learning new things about her (emotionally or physically), or learning about life and becoming better in general – consistent improvement is a big part of keeping both of you happy while in a relationship.

Comfort is important, but complacency is deadly. Becoming too comfortable is the enemy of progress, which leads to boredom tension in the relationship. We must work daily to become the best version of ourselves while remaining the man she fell for in the first place.

Keep courting her.

Sure, you’re in a relationship…but…

7 Dating Habits We Should Be Practicing

James Michael Sama

While many acts of chivalry can help to show someone you care for them, they are just that – acts. It is possible for someone’s intentions to be masked by their temporary politeness – but what deeper, even more genuine dating habits do we need to bring to the forefront to help build stronger relationships?

Here are a few examples that can only solidify your foundation.

Call, don’t text a date invite.

While this one is listed as an act of chivalry to bring back, it takes more thought and effort than simply opening a door or pulling out a chair. What makes it even more important is how rare it is – there is some searching involved to find a woman who has gotten an actual phone call invite, rather than a text.

Girls: It’s important to note that if you’ve got a track record of not answering the…

8 Signs She’s Not Girlfriend Material

James Michael Sama

We’ve spent a lot of time discussing things that good men don’t do, as well as things that they need to do better. But we must not forget that there are two sides to relationships and that men need to know what to look out for in women, also.

Men are used to pursuing women, so she shows interest back in our direction, it’s natural to overlook the red flags for the fact that she makes us feel wanted or perhaps how beautiful she is. But we need to discipline ourselves to slow down and be honest – does she display these warning signs?

She doesn’t appreciate things.

If you’re the type of man who consistently does little things to make her feel special, it’s equally as important that she is the type of woman who shows, in some way, shape or form, that she appreciates your…

10 Things Men Think Are A Good Idea – But Aren’t

James Michael Sama

I remember hearing something from Jerry Seinfeld a long time ago that talked about the differences between what men read and what women read. Women’s magazines are all full of how-to’s, especially when it comes to dating – and men’s magazines are full of pictures of pretty girls because they think they already know everything.

Unfortunately, we don’t. Nobody does. I learned this through experience and I’m sure that I’m not alone.

So, what are some things we might be mistaking for “good game” that we should really tie to a concrete block and drop into the river?

Holding your standards too high.

We all want the woman (or man) who we’ve drawn a photo of in our mind. The “perfect” partner. We are in a society of replacement. Phone screen broken? Get a new one. Computer running slow? Get a new one. You’ve had that iPad for 6 months? Here’s…

8 Signs Of A Toxic Relationship

James Michael Sama

This is a very difficult topic to discuss – because you’ve got to be sensitive to people’s feelings, but at the same time, give them a dose of reality.

It’s both disappointing and unfortunate to see how many abusive relationships are happening on a daily basis, and thought to be normal.

It’s important to note that you don’t need physical violence in order to have an abusive relationship. And don’t forget, both men and women can be guilty of this.

If you are made to feel any of the following ways or recognize any of the following things, then you truly need to take a step back, put your emotions aside, and ask yourself what your partner is truly bringing to your life.

– You always feel guilty, but don’t know why.

Is your partner always making you feel as though you did something wrong, but you genuinely can’t understand…

Latin American Dance 101

A lot of travelers head over to Latin America with plans to learn Spanish classes. It’s admittedly a great way to learn, but you will be stuck behind a desk for the most part of your trip. If you want an educational trip but are already familiar with Spanish or if you simply didn’t want to stay stuck in a classroom for most of your time, how about taking dance lessons instead?

latin dance

It seems like people from this part of the world are born to dance. Loud music pours out of nearly every home, even in the wee hours of morning, and on the weekends, bars fill up with couples dancing until the sun rises. This is where salsa and tango were born; and where superstars like Shakira first learned to dance.

First of all, you have to decide which type of Latin dance you would like to go for. There are schools aplenty that offer a mix of all the Latin American dances but different regions are known for different dances and you will get the best lessons if you head over to the right place where the said dance was actually born.

For tango, you have to go to Argentina. In Buenos Aires, you can watch tango dancers dancing on the streets or during the yearly Tango Buenos Aires Festival. Dance studios are all over the city and many cater to tourists and foreigners alike. You can book intensive one week courses or stay for a few months to become an expert at it.

For salsa, the best place to learn would be in Cali, Colombia. The salsa here is world-famous and Colombians are very friendly and great teachers. You can even just show up at a local bar and more often than not, a local will offer to teach you a few steps. You’ll probably want to invest in a couple of classes though before heading out to the local salsa clubs

Dance and Learn Spanish at the Same Time

Why not combine the best of both worlds? Look for companies that offer combination classes, where you learn Spanish for the better part of the day, and learn to dance in the evenings, and put both lessons to practice by heading out to local dance clubs during weekends.

More often than not, travel is just about seeing the tourist attractions, but it should be so much more. Travel gives you a chance to connect with new people and understand a new culture. Whether taking Spanish lessons, or dancing your heart out on the dance floor, either way, you will be taking your trip beyond the typical.

Disfruta de tu día!
